EBRD approved a EUR 100 million energy efficiency programme for Ukraine

On October 18, 2006 the EBRD Board of Directors approved a EUR 100 million framework for Ukraine for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The framework will consist of loan to Ukrainian commercial banks, which will on-lend funds to private sector clients. The two first banks approved under the framework are the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine and Kreditprombank, which will receive loan facilities of up to USD 50 million and USD 10 million correspondingly.
